It's slow, especially on phones
Heavy themes, plugins and oversized images make pages crawl on a mobile signal. Visitors leave before they've seen what you offer.
Website redesign
A website redesign should fix what's holding your site back without throwing away the visitors it already brings in. We rebuild your site by hand, then carefully carry over the pages, addresses and content that Google already knows about.
Why redesign
Most businesses don't redesign because they're bored of the look. They redesign because the site has quietly stopped pulling its weight.
01
Heavy themes, plugins and oversized images make pages crawl on a mobile signal. Visitors leave before they've seen what you offer.
02
Your services, prices or branding have moved on, but the site still describes the business you were a few years ago.
03
People visit but don't get in touch, because it's unclear what you do, what it costs or how to take the next step.
04
Constant plugin updates, a builder subscription you resent, or a site nobody remembers how to change. We host and maintain the new one ourselves.
Protecting your rankings
The biggest risk in a redesign is losing search traffic because pages move or disappear. We plan for that from the start. We can't promise rankings, but we can make sure the redesign doesn't undo the work you've already put in.
The process
We look at what's there: the pages, how fast they load, what brings in visitors and what gets in the way of enquiries.
We recommend what to keep, what to change and what to drop, with a fixed price and timeline. Nothing is due upfront.
We design the key pages, agree them with you, then rebuild the site by hand and move your content across, with a redirect plan for any changed addresses.
We move your domain to the new site, test the redirects, submit the sitemap and keep an eye on Search Console in the weeks after launch.
Pricing
Every redesign is quoted individually, using the same project prices as a new site. We'll tell you which category your redesign falls into after reviewing your current site.
| If your new site is | Typical timeline | From |
|---|---|---|
| Information website | 1–2 weeks | £300 |
| Business website | 3–5 weeks | £1,500 |
| E-commerce website | 6–10 weeks | £3,000 |
| Web application | 10–16 weeks | £10,000 |
Hosting is included once your new site is live, so you can usually cancel your old hosting or builder subscription. Add-ons and hourly rates are on our pricing page.
Questions
Any change to a site can cause some short-term movement while Google re-reads it. Keeping addresses the same, redirecting the ones that change and keeping the content that ranks is how we keep that to a minimum. We won't promise a ranking — nobody honestly can — but a faster, clearer site gives you a better footing.
Yes. We don't edit the old site — we rebuild it by hand and move your content across. The new site won't depend on the old platform, so you can close that account once you've switched over.
No. Your current site stays live while we build the new one on a private preview. We switch over once you've approved it.
Yes, your domain stays yours. We point it at the new site and take care not to disturb any email set up on the same domain.
Yes, and for pages that already bring in visitors we usually recommend it. We tidy up wording, structure and headings where it helps, and flag anything out of date for you to update.
The same as building that kind of site new: from £300 for an information site, £1,500 for a business site and £3,000 for an online shop. You get a fixed written quote after we've reviewed your current site. Our guide on how much a website costs explains what moves the price.
Share the address and what's not working, and we'll tell you honestly what we'd change. We reply within one business day.
